Zantedeschia aet. Snowwhite 3L

Zantedeschia aet. Snowwhite 3L

Zantedeschia aethiopica selections such as ‘Snowwhite’ are robust, semi-evergreen perennials valued for their bold, arrow-shaped green leaves and elegant, pure-white spathes wrapped around a yellow spadix. Best in reliably moist, humus-rich, moderately fertile soil, they thrive at pond margins, in boggy borders, or large containers kept evenly moist. Choose full sun or light shade for the best display, and deadhead spent spathes to prolong neatness. In Ireland’s milder areas plants can keep foliage through winter; in colder spots provide a deep mulch and protection from severe frost.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
