GERANIUM mac. 'Czakor'

Geranium macrorrhizum ‘Czakor’ is a tough, semi-evergreen groundcover geranium with aromatic foliage and vibrant purple-magenta flowers in late spring to early summer. Compact clumps reach around 30–45cm, spreading to form dense, weed-suppressing mats that excel beneath shrubs and trees, along paths, or at the front of borders. Reliable in Irish gardens, it thrives in sun or light shade and is notably tolerant of dry shade once established. Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained or moist but well-drained soil; the flowers are valuable to pollinators, and the scented leaves add year-round interest.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
