Helleborus h. Viv Valentina

Helleborus h. Viv Valentina

Helleborus h. Viv Valentina is a Lenten rose selection well-suited to Irish gardens, valued for its late winter to early spring display. A long-lived, clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial, it bears sturdy, leathery foliage and typically reaches about 45cm tall and wide. Grow in partial to full shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil; ideal for woodland edges, under deciduous shrubs, and shaded mixed borders for early-season interest. For best results, mulch annually with garden compost or leaf mould and remove old foliage as flower buds emerge to showcase the display and maintain good plant health.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
