VINCA minor 'Gertrude Jekyll'

VINCA minor 'Gertrude Jekyll' 5L

VINCA minor ‘Gertrude Jekyll’ is a low, mat-forming evergreen periwinkle with pure white, single flowers in spring. A dependable, weed‑suppressing ground cover for banks, slopes and underplanting shrubs or trees, it thrives in sun, light shade or full shade and is happy in most moderately fertile, well‑drained soils. Fully hardy in Ireland, it can be lightly trimmed after flowering or in spring to control spread and keep the mat neat.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
