Vinca minor Alba

Vinca minor Alba

Vinca minor Alba

Vinca minor ‘Alba’ is a dependable, mat-forming evergreen groundcover with glossy green foliage and pure white single flowers in spring. Ideal for carpeting the ground beneath shrubs and trees, edging paths or covering banks, it spreads by rooting stems to form dense, weed-suppressing cover, even in shade. Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun or shade; trim after flowering to keep it tidy and to limit spread. Well suited to difficult dry shade once established in Irish gardens.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
