Saxifraga Pixi Appleblossom

Saxifraga Pixi Appleblossom

Saxifraga Pixi Appleblossom is a compact mossy saxifrage forming neat, evergreen cushions of fresh green foliage, topped in spring by masses of soft apple-blossom pink flowers held just above the mound. Perfect for Irish rock gardens, troughs, wall crevices and containers, it prefers partial shade and cool, moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil; avoid hot afternoon sun and waterlogging. Deadhead lightly after flowering to keep the cushion tidy.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
