Pulmonaria Miss Elly

Pulmonaria Miss Elly

Pulmonaria Miss Elly is a clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial valued for its early spring display and reliability in shaded Irish gardens. Its tubular spring flowers provide an important early nectar source for bees, while the fresh foliage makes neat groundcover through the season. Best grown in partial to full shade in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, moderately fertile soil; avoid hot, dry positions. Ideal for woodland edges, underplanting shrubs and trees, or the front of a shady border. After flowering, remove tired leaves to encourage a flush of clean new growth.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
