Primula Polyanthus Sibel Lime

Primula Polyanthus Sibel Lime

Polyanthus primroses are reliable, fully hardy spring perennials for Irish gardens, producing clusters of bright lime-green blooms on short stems above neat rosettes of foliage. Best in partial shade and cool conditions, they thrive in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile, humus-rich soil. Ideal for pots, window boxes and the front of borders where their early colour brightens the garden; deadhead spent flowers to encourage a longer display. Forms a low clump to around 25–30cm in height and spread, with semi-evergreen leaves in mild areas.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
