Miscanthus Ferner Osten

Miscanthus ‘Ferner Osten’ is a clump-forming, deciduous ornamental grass with graceful, arching green foliage and striking deep red flower plumes in late summer to autumn that mature to silvery tones for long-lasting structure and movement. Grow in full sun and in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Excellent as an architectural focal point or in mixed borders; leave stems for winter interest and cut back in late winter or early spring. Eventual height around 1.5–2m, spread to about 1m.
