LUPINUS WC Manhattan Lights

LUPINUS WC Manhattan Lights

LUPINUS Manhattan Lights

Lupinus ‘Manhattan Lights’ is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial lupin prized for its striking bicolour flower spikes in rich purple and soft yellow, carried above palmate green foliage in late spring to early summer. Reaching about 60–90cm tall and 30–60cm wide, it performs best in full sun in Irish gardens, in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil that is neutral to acidic (avoid chalky conditions). Excellent for mixed borders and cottage-style plantings, it also makes a fine cut flower and is attractive to bees and other pollinators; deadhead spent spikes to encourage further blooms.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
