Lilium formosanum Pricei

Lilium formosanum Pricei

A compact, deciduous dwarf Formosa lily for Irish gardens, Lilium formosanum ‘Pricei’ produces showy, powerfully scented, long trumpet flowers in late summer to early autumn. Blooms are pure white inside with a soft purple flush on the outer petals, carried on slender stems above narrow green foliage, typically to around 30–45cm. Best in sun or light shade with shelter from strong winds, it thrives in fertile, well‑drained soil that is kept evenly moist during growth; protect from excessive winter wet and provide a warm, sheltered site for reliable performance. Ideal for containers and the front of mixed borders, and a natural fit for cottage‑style planting where its elegant late-season display is especially valuable.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
