Delphinium 'Astolat'

Delphinium 'Astolat'

Larkspurs Delphinium Astolat (2Ltr Pot)

Delphinium (Elatum Group) ‘Astolat’ is a classic cottage-border perennial prized for its tall, elegant spires of soft pink flowers often showing a neat white “bee” in early summer. Grow in full sun or light shade in a fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that is neutral to alkaline. Stake in spring, shelter from strong winds, and protect young shoots from slugs and snails; deadhead spent spikes to encourage a possible later flush. Excellent for mixed borders and for cutting. Fully hardy in Ireland.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
