HEUCHERA Mulberry

HEUCHERA Mulberry

Heuchera ‘Mulberry’ is a compact, semi-evergreen perennial valued for its richly coloured foliage and tidy, mounding habit—ideal for containers, front-of-border planting, and shaded courtyard spaces in Ireland. Expect a neat clump around 25–30cm high and 30–45cm wide. Best in sun or light shade with moisture-retentive but free-draining, moderately fertile soil; avoid waterlogging, especially in winter. Dark-toned leaves hold colour well, and slender flower stems may appear in late spring to summer, adding extra interest above the foliage. Deadhead spent stems and remove tired leaves to keep plants looking fresh.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
