Helleborus ViV Luisa

Helleborus ViV Luisa

Helleborus ViV Luisa

Helleborus ViV Luisa is a reliable hellebore valued for its late winter to early spring flowers and handsome, leathery, semi-evergreen foliage. Best in partial shade in moisture-retentive but well-drained, humus-rich, moderately fertile soil; it will tolerate chalk and heavier clay if not waterlogged. Ideal under deciduous shrubs, along paths and in woodland-style or informal borders for seasonal colour when little else is in bloom. Mulch annually with leafmould or garden compost, avoid disturbing established clumps, and remove old leaves in late winter to display the flowers and help reduce leaf spot; provide shelter from cold, drying winds.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
