HELLEBORUS or. Double Yellow Spotted

HELLEBORUS or. Double Yellow Spotted

Helleborus or. Double Yellow Spotted is a Lenten rose selection prized for its fully double, soft yellow flowers lightly marked with contrasting spots, appearing from late winter into spring. Forming neat, long-lived clumps of leathery, dark green leaves, it performs best in partial shade and fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that is neutral to alkaline—ideal for woodland edges and underplanting shrubs where early colour is welcome. In Irish gardens, remove old foliage in midwinter to showcase the new blooms and help maintain plant health.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
