EUPHORBIA CHAR. SILVER SWAN
EUPHORBIA CHAR. SILVER SWAN
Euphorbia characias ‘Silver Swan’ is a compact, evergreen euphorbia valued for its striking variegated foliage and long season of structure. Upright stems carry grey-green leaves neatly edged creamy white, and in spring to early summer they are topped with showy yellow-green flowerheads. Ideal for sunny, well-drained borders, gravel and Mediterranean-style schemes, it provides an architectural focal point and pairs well with other drought-tolerant plants. Grow in full sun or light shade in well-drained, moderately fertile soil; it tolerates chalk and light sandy soils and copes with summer dry once established. Wear gloves when pruning spent stems and avoid contact with the milky sap.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
