Erysimum Winter Orchid

Erysimum Winter Orchid

Erysimum Winter Orchid

Erysimum ‘Winter Orchid’ is a compact, bushy, evergreen perennial wallflower to around 45cm tall and wide, carrying a very long display from late winter into early summer. The 4‑petalled blooms open warm apricot‑orange and age through pink to purple, so several colours show at once. Grow in full sun and well‑drained, moderately fertile soil, ideally neutral to alkaline, and avoid waterlogging. Drought tolerant once established and attractive to pollinators, it’s excellent for sunny borders, gravel gardens and containers; deadhead to extend flowering and replace plants every few years if they become woody.

Soil Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile; light or chalky soils; neutral to alkaline; avoid waterlogging
