DICENTRA spectabilis 'Alba'

DICENTRA spectabilis 'Alba'

DICENTRA spectabilis 'Alba'

A graceful, deciduous perennial valued for its arching stems of pendant, heart-shaped white flowers in spring. Best in partial shade with cool, moisture-retentive, humus-rich soil, it forms an elegant clump of fresh green foliage and is ideal for woodland-style and cottage borders in Irish gardens. Keep the soil evenly moist but well-drained, and allow the plant to die back naturally after flowering for reliable performance year after year.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
