Acer palmatum Katsura / 3 Ltr pot

Acer palmatum Katsura / 3 Ltr pot

Acer palmatum 'Katsura' is a slow-growing Japanese maple valued for its striking seasonal colour. The finely lobed leaves emerge yellow to orange in early spring with soft pink tints at the margins, turn fresh green through summer, then glow orange in autumn. Best in a sheltered position out of strong winds, it thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil that is neutral to acidic. Ideal as a feature in small gardens, courtyards, and containers, where its delicate branching and compact habit bring elegant structure and colour through the seasons.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
