Acer pal. Osakazuki

Acer pal. Osakazuki

Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki' is a renowned Japanese maple grown as a large, bushy deciduous shrub or small tree, valued for its superb autumn colour. Fresh green, palmate leaves in spring and summer turn brilliant orange-red to scarlet in autumn, and the red winged fruits provide additional seasonal interest. Best planted in a sheltered spot with dappled light or morning sun, in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil that is neutral to acidic. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
