Acer palmatum 'Sangokaku' 3 Ltr pot
Acer pal. Sangokaku
Acer palmatum 'Sango-kaku' (coral-bark maple) is a graceful, deciduous small tree valued for year-round interest. Fresh spring leaves emerge yellow-green, often pink-tinged, deepen to green in summer, then turn clear yellow in autumn, while young shoots and winter twigs glow coral-red. Best in a sheltered spot with sun or light shade and moist but well-drained, acid to neutral soil. A reliable, slow-growing specimen reaching around 6–8m tall by 4m wide over time. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
