Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' 3 Ltr pot

Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' 3 Ltr pot

Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is a large, bushy deciduous shrub or small tree valued for its deep red-purple, pointed, lobed leaves that turn red in autumn. In spring it produces small purple flowers, sometimes followed by red winged fruits. For best results in Irish gardens, plant in moist but well-drained, fertile, acid to neutral soil, in a sheltered spot with sun or light shade to reduce wind scorch. An elegant specimen for feature planting; holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
