Thuja occ. 'Rheingold' 25-30 CM C3

Thuja occidentalis ‘Rheingold’ is a compact, slow-growing evergreen conifer valued for its rich golden-yellow foliage that holds well through the growing season, often taking warm coppery-bronze tints in colder months. Forming a dense, rounded to gently conical shape with minimal maintenance, it brings reliable year-round structure and colour to borders and mixed plantings in Irish gardens. For the brightest foliage, plant in full sun with shelter from the worst drying winds; it will also tolerate light shade. Grow in moist but well-drained, reasonably fertile soil and water during prolonged dry spells while establishing. Fully hardy, and best left unpruned except for the lightest of tidying if required.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
