LITHODORA 'Heavenly Blue'

LITHODORA 'Heavenly Blue'

Lithodora diffusa ‘Heavenly Blue’ is a low, mat-forming evergreen subshrub prized for its vivid, deep blue starry flowers from late spring through summer. It thrives in sharply drained, neutral to acidic soil and dislikes lime or chalk, making it ideal for rock gardens, raised beds, and the edges of paths or walls in Irish gardens. Grow in full sun or light shade, give excellent drainage to avoid winter wet, and allow space for its spreading habit to form a neat, ground-hugging carpet of small dark green leaves.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
