Viburnum bodn. Charles Lamont

Viburnum bodn. Charles Lamont

Viburnum bodn. ‘Charles Lamont’ is an upright, deciduous viburnum valued for its richly scented pink flowers, which open on bare stems from late autumn through early spring, followed by fresh green foliage. Ideal for winter scent and seasonal interest in Irish gardens, it performs best in full sun or light shade in a moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, maturing to around 3m tall and 2m wide with a steady, moderate growth rate. Plant near paths, doors or seating areas to appreciate the perfume on mild winter days.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
