Styrax japonicus June Snow (pbr)

Styrax japonicus 'June Snow' (PBR) is a small, elegant deciduous tree prized for its graceful, horizontal branching and profuse display of pendent, bell-shaped white flowers that hang beneath the branches in June. Fresh green foliage clothes the tree through summer and typically turns yellow in autumn. Grow in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil, in full sun or light shade, with shelter from cold, drying winds. An excellent specimen for smaller gardens or woodland-style planting where its early-summer show can be appreciated at close quarters.

Position: Full sun or light shade; best in a sheltered spot

Rate of Growth: Moderate

Soil: Moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil

Hardiness: Hardy in most UK regions (to around -15°C)
