Acer palmatum 'Shirazz' is a striking Japanese maple valued for its vivid, variegated foliage. Young leaves emerge in spring flushed bright pink with cream and green marbling, softening through summer before turning vibrant crimson to scarlet in autumn. With a naturally graceful, compact habit, it is ideal for containers, courtyards and sheltered borders. Grow in moist but well-drained, preferably acidic to neutral soil in light shade, and protect from cold, drying winds and strong midday sun to minimise leaf scorch.

This is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above. The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller. The clear stem will remain at the height you receive it at, with future growth coming from the top of the tree.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height.
