Robinia
Robinia
Robinia pseudoacacia is a fast-growing, deciduous tree valued for its pendent clusters of fragrant, white pea-like flowers in late spring to early summer. Best in full sun and well-drained soil, it copes with poorer, drier or sandy conditions and is suited to larger gardens and landscape settings in Ireland. A substantial tree at maturity, it often reaches 12–25m in height with a broad crown providing light, dappled shade.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
