Photinia Fraseri Std Mix
Photinia Fraseri Std Mix
Photinia × fraseri is an evergreen small tree valued for its glossy foliage and bright red young shoots that mature to green, bringing year-round structure and seasonal colour. In spring (usually April to May) it can produce clusters of small white flowers if not clipped. Best grown in full sun to light shade in fertile, well-drained soil, and a sheltered position is ideal to protect the fresh growth from cold, drying winds. Excellent as a structural specimen or for formal, repeat planting in standard form; prune after the spring flush to maintain shape and encourage new colourful shoots. Over time it can reach a few metres in height if not regularly trimmed.
This is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above. The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller. The clear stem will remain at the height you receive it at, with future growth coming from the top of the tree.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
