LAVANDULA s. Great Adventure (Lavender)

Lavandula stoechas ‘Great Adventure’ is a compact, aromatic lavender valued for its distinctive, tufted flowerheads produced from late spring into summer, and for its evergreen, scented foliage. Ideal for sunny, well-drained borders, gravel gardens and containers in Ireland, it thrives in poor to moderately fertile soils and is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators. Choose a warm, sheltered south- or west-facing spot with sharp drainage, especially over winter; avoid waterlogged soils. Deadhead to extend display and lightly trim after flowering to keep a neat shape, taking care not to cut into old woody stems.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
