LABURNUM WATERII VOSSII

LABURNUM WATERII VOSSII

LABURNUM WATERII VOSSII

Laburnum × watereri 'Vossii' is a small deciduous tree treasured for its long, pendulous racemes of golden-yellow flowers in late spring (typically May–June). The foliage is dark green, and after flowering it produces seedpods that ripen by autumn; all parts of the plant, especially the seeds, are poisonous if ingested. Grow in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil; it will tolerate poorer or alkaline soils. Fully hardy and well suited to Irish gardens, it’s best sited away from livestock areas and where children or pets will not be tempted to handle the pods.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
