CORNUS K. CAPPUCINO

CORNUS K. CAPPUCINO

Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' is a compact, deciduous dogwood grown as a small tree for its striking bronzed young foliage that matures to deep green through summer, followed by good autumn colour. In late spring to early summer it produces showy, creamy-white bracts that create a long-lasting display. Best in full sun or light shade, it prefers a moisture-retentive but well-drained, fertile, humus-rich soil that is acid to neutral; avoid shallow chalk. A slow-growing, fully hardy choice for Irish gardens, it makes an elegant specimen for borders or lawns and suits sheltered sites where its seasonal interest can be enjoyed.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
