CERCIS SILIQUASTRUM CLT 35 / 45 H 150 - 175 CM

Cercis siliquastrum, often called the Judas tree, is a small ornamental deciduous tree valued for its striking display of rosy-pink, pea-like blossom carried on bare branches in spring, followed by attractive flattened seed pods. After flowering, rounded, heart-shaped leaves emerge and mature to green through summer. For reliable flowering and good colour in Irish gardens, plant in a warm, sunny, sheltered position with moderately fertile, well-drained soil; it will tolerate neutral to alkaline conditions, including chalk. Minimal pruning is needed beyond removing dead, damaged or crossing growth, making it a fine choice as a specimen for courtyards and smaller gardens.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
