Acer shirasawanum 'Moonrise' is a compact, bushy Japanese maple prized for its season-long foliage display. Rounded, finely lobed leaves emerge in vibrant pink-red tones in spring, mature to fresh yellow-green through summer, and take on glowing orange-red shades in autumn. Best grown in partial shade with shelter from cold, drying winds, it thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil. An excellent choice for a focal point in borders, courtyards, or large containers, where its elegant branching and refined canopy provide structure and colour through the seasons.

This is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above. The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller. The clear stem will remain at the height you receive it at, with future growth coming from the top of the tree.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height.
