Acer palmatum 'Bihoo' C6.5

Acer palmatum 'Bihoo' C6.5

Acer palmatum 'Bihoo' is a small, deciduous Japanese maple grown for its striking yellow to orange-yellow winter stems that provide vivid cold-season colour. The finely divided leaves emerge fresh and delicate, maturing green through summer before taking on warm yellow to orange autumn tints. Best in a sheltered position with dappled or light shade, it prefers a moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil. Protect from cold, drying winds and late spring frosts to keep foliage at its best, and use as a standout specimen to bring long-season interest and architectural structure to the garden.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
