Acer palm. Seiryu 140-160 CM C65

Acer palmatum 'Seiryu' is a distinctive upright laceleaf Japanese maple valued for finely dissected foliage that opens yellow‑green in spring, turns bright green in summer, and develops vivid yellow, orange and red tones in autumn. Forming a graceful, vase-shaped small tree, it thrives in sun or light shade with shelter from cold, drying winds. Plant in moisture-retentive but well-drained, fertile, humus-rich soil that is preferably neutral to acidic; avoid very alkaline or drought-prone sites. An excellent specimen for Asian-inspired and architectural planting, it can ultimately reach around 4–8m in height with a 2.5–4m spread, given time.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
