Acer palm. Osakazuki 100-125 CM C35

Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki' is a celebrated Japanese maple grown for its outstanding autumn colour. Through spring and summer the leaves are a fresh green, before turning a brilliant, fiery scarlet in autumn, making a striking focal point for small gardens and larger landscapes alike. This deciduous, upright small tree is best in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil that is neutral to acidic, and benefits from a sheltered position away from cold, drying winds and strong afternoon sun. An elegant choice for Japanese-style planting, courtyards, and as a specimen where its seasonal colour can be appreciated; eventually forming a graceful canopy around 6m tall and 4m wide in time.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
