Acer palm. 'Orange Dream' C6.5

Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream' is a compact, deciduous Japanese maple admired for its luminous seasonal colour: young leaves emerge orange-yellow in spring, mature to yellow-green through summer, then develop rich golden to orange tones in autumn. Grow in a sheltered spot with sun or light shade, in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil that is neutral to slightly acidic. Protect from cold, drying winds and strong midday sun to reduce leaf scorch, and water during dry spells while establishing. An excellent specimen for structure and colour in smaller gardens.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
