ACER palm. Bi-Hoo 1.30/1.50

Acer palmatum 'Bi-hoo' is a beautifully refined Japanese maple grown for its striking yellow young stems that shine in winter, offering valuable colour when the garden is otherwise bare. Forming a small, slow-growing tree with delicately lobed leaves, it thrives in a sheltered spot with sun or light shade and in moist but well-drained, fertile soil that is neutral to acidic. Ideal for containers, courtyards, and calm, Asian-inspired plantings, it rewards with graceful seasonal interest and good autumn colour. Protect from cold, drying winds and avoid very dry sites; mulch annually to keep roots cool and evenly moist.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
