Acer pal. Skeeters Broom 125-150 cm C 30L Specim.

Acer pal. Skeeters Broom 125-150 cm C 30L Specim.

Acer palmatum 'Skeeter's Broom' is a compact, upright Japanese maple with a neat, broom-like habit and small leaves that emerge bright red in spring, deepen to rich red through summer, and turn vivid crimson in autumn. Slow-growing and naturally tidy, it is ideal as a specimen for small gardens, courtyards and containers. Grow in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile, preferably acid soil, in sun or light shade with shelter from cold, drying winds; avoid chalky soils and hot, exposed sites.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
