Acer pal. Seiryu P32
Acer pal. Seiryu P32
Acer palmatum 'Seiryu' is an unusual Japanese maple with finely dissected, lace-like leaves on a naturally upright, graceful framework. Spring to summer foliage is fresh green, turning a vivid mix of yellow, orange and red in autumn. Best in a sheltered spot with sun or light shade and protection from drying winds, it prefers a fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that is slightly acidic; avoid very chalky conditions. A slow-growing, elegant choice for focal planting and Japanese-style gardens, forming a small to medium-sized tree over time (typically 4–8m tall, 2.5–4m wide at maturity).
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
