Acer pal. Katsura 100-125 cm C 30L Specim.

Acer palmatum 'Katsura' is a slow-growing Japanese maple prized for vivid spring foliage that emerges yellow to orange with soft pink tints, matures to fresh green in summer, and turns rich golden-orange in autumn. Forming a small, graceful tree to around 4m tall and 3m wide over time, it thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil, in sun or partial shade with shelter from cold, drying winds. A beautiful choice for Japanese-inspired planting and small gardens, it needs little pruning beyond removing dead or crossing shoots in late autumn or winter.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
