ACER GRISEUM

ACER GRISEUM

Acer griseum, the paperbark maple, is a treasured small ornamental tree famed for its peeling, cinnamon-brown bark that provides superb winter interest. Deciduous trifoliate leaves are fresh green in the growing season and develop rich autumn colour, making it an elegant specimen for year-round structure. Slow-growing and well-behaved, it thrives in full sun to light shade in a moist but well-drained, fertile soil and is ideal for smaller gardens, courtyards, and as a focal point in mixed planting.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
