Allium 'Globemaster'

Allium 'Globemaster'

Allium Globemaster 3L

Allium ‘Globemaster’ is a bulbous perennial prized for its large, perfectly spherical heads of many starry violet‑purple florets held on sturdy stems in late spring to early summer. In Irish gardens it thrives in full sun and well‑drained, moderately fertile soil; the broad green basal leaves often fade as the flowers open, so it pairs well with later‑emerging perennials or grasses to conceal the foliage. Typically reaching around 80–90cm tall with a modest spread, it brings strong architectural impact to sunny borders and gravel plantings and is often visited by pollinators.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
