PIERIS JAPONICA PASSION

PIERIS JAPONICA PASSION

PIERIS JAPONICA PASSION

Pieris japonica ‘Passion’ is a slow-growing, evergreen, acid-loving shrub valued for its neat habit and spring display of pendant, bell-shaped flowers. Grow in light, dappled shade in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acidic (ericaceous) soil; avoid alkaline or chalky conditions. Ideal for woodland-style borders, mixed shrub plantings, or large containers filled with ericaceous compost. In Irish gardens, shelter from cold, drying winds and protect from early morning sun after frosts; mulch annually with leafmould or composted bark to help maintain soil moisture and acidity.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
