Hydrangea macr. Purple

A classic Hydrangea macrophylla with bright green, serrated leaves and impressively large summer flowerheads that carry through into early autumn. The dried heads can be left on the plant over winter for structure, then prune in March. Best in partial shade with moisture-retentive soil, it makes a superb choice for borders, courtyards and cottage-style plantings, and is excellent for cut flowers. Eventual size around 1.5m x 1.5m.
