Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Blue’ is a deciduous mophead hydrangea valued for its large summer flowerheads and reliable garden performance. Best in sun or partial shade with shelter from hot midday sun, it prefers moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil; flower colour is influenced by soil pH (typically bluer in acidic conditions and pinker in alkaline).
