Hydrangea arb. 'Strong Annabelle'® 25-30 cm.

Hydrangea arb. 'Strong Annabelle'® 25-30 cm.

Hydrangea arborescens ‘Strong Annabelle’ is a dependable, deciduous smooth hydrangea prized for its sturdy stems and large, domed heads of white summer flowers held above fresh green foliage. It performs well in Irish gardens in sun or partial shade, thriving in moist but well-drained, fertile soil, and makes an excellent feature in mixed borders or for seasonal structure and cutting. It flowers on the current season’s growth; in Ireland, prune in late winter to a low framework to encourage strong new shoots and abundant blooms.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
