Carex oshimensis Everest

Carex oshimensis Everest is a compact, evergreen Japanese sedge forming graceful, arching mounds of narrow, variegated leaves with bright white margins and deep green centres. Valued for reliable, year-round texture and light in shaded spots, it’s ideal for edging paths, woodland-style planting and containers. Grow in partial shade to shade in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; avoid hot, dry sites and trim away any tired foliage in late winter or early spring. Clumps typically reach about 30–45cm high and wide, with small, inconspicuous brown flower spikes in spring.
