Carex Ice Dance

Carex ‘Ice Dance’ is a neat, evergreen sedge forming low, slowly spreading clumps of arching, variegated leaves—deep green with clean, creamy-white edges. Ideal for brightening partial to full shade, it’s excellent as groundcover, for edging paths and borders, and for containers where year-round foliage interest is desired. In spring it produces small, inconspicuous brown flower spikes above the foliage. Best grown in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soil, it is low-maintenance—simply remove any tired leaves in late winter or early spring to keep the clumps fresh.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
